What if moais (the statues from Easter Island) weren't built by the Rapanui but were placed by an alien civilization? Were they placed to send a report on human activities? Why are they only activated at the end of an era?
The scene was rendered in Vue7 and the statues were modelled in ZBrush. The glowing outline was done in Paint Shop Pro as Vue always crashed when I tried to do it within the program. To be honest, originally I had planned to do "normal" moais but I couldn't find a decent stone texture for them so I went with a more scifi theme. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
